3. Starfighter Assault Is A Huge Improvement

Aerial combat might turn out to be the most improved element of Battlefront 2, introducing Starfighter Assault mode, which proves to be effortlessly superior to the previous game's rather underwhelming and basic Fighter Squadron equivalent.

After Fighter Squadron's lack of epic space battles was widely criticised, Starfighter Assault rectifies that right out of the gate, and even the small slice of gameplay available in the beta feels far more enjoyable and exciting than anything in the previous game's version.

Dogfights are more urgent and chaotic, and the mode simply seems that much more like you're taking part in something meaningful within the Star Wars universe.

The controls could be tighter, but don't be surprised if you find yourself glued to this mode as much as the more conventional ones. Speaking of which...
