Star Wars Battlefront 3: 10 Ways It Can Save The Franchise
7. Make Space Battles More Dynamic
It seems like EA can never really get space battles quite right.
Battlefront 2's inclusion of space battles certainly beats how the first game didn't even include them, but it didn't do much besides. All EA really did was reskin the existing in-flight combat from the first game for a space map, which isn't exactly what players wanted.
For the next Battlefront, space battles need to be a lot more dynamic. What that means is the return of space stations and being able to get in and out of ships to your heart's content.
The ability to dock in bigger ships, change your character around and switch what vehicle you're using is exactly what made space battles feel so special.
All players really want to do in these battles is fly around in an expansive location and actually feel like they're in space. Because the new Battlefront games removed the ability to get out of the ships, that scale is drawn back considerably.
For the love of all that makes Star Wars great (and, y'know, Star Wars), EA needs to put everything into this mode.
