Star Wars Battlefront 3: 10 Ways To Make The Perfect Sequel
9. Better Support For Starfighter Assault
Battlefront 2 had a lot of great modes, with the flagship (until recently) obviously being Galactic Assault. Sadly, there was another mode that flew somewhat beneath the radar after launch - and not necessarily because fans neglected it.
When Battlefront 2 launched, it came with a mode called Starfighter Assault. Space Battles were at the top of everyone's wish list for the next Battlefront game after the 2015 reboot, and DICE delivered thanks to the help of Criterion Games. The mode enabled players to recreate all sorts of classic encounters from the films and TV shows, but sadly fell to the wayside after launch, with Criterion being drafted to focus on other projects.
It was a huge shame, as - out of all the game modes in Battlefront 2 - Starfighter Assault seemed to possess the most potential. Imagine recreating the final encounter from Return of the Jedi? Or maybe even the bombing run from Episode VIII?
There are countless maps and scenarios that could've been added, and they should be a priority for the third game.
