Star Wars Battlefront: 8 Big Things It Must Learn From The Older Games

3. Don't Disregard Old Maps

This was a lesson Battlefront II had to learn as well, though one it didn't heed in the correct manner. Having needlessly done away with maps such as Rhen Var, Cloud City and the Yavin Arena, the content was sold back to players in the form of DLC. Though with a markedly lower price tag compared to the additional content of today, it was the first of many actions that have put the industry on a slippery slope to DLC dominance - perhaps the only way we'll see these old locales once more. Bringing back fan favourite maps from the original series would be a great throwback for fans still apprehensive of Battlefront's newest iteration, and would show that the folks at DICE aren't entirely dismissive of what the series accomplished before they went on to take the reigns after Lucasarts' dissolution. It's already clear that the L.A. Studio have gone out of their way to make some truly authentic maps, so putting their own spin on some of the golden oldies would be a treat all Star Wars fans could delight in.
