Star Wars: Battlefront Rogue One - 10 Ways To Nail The Scarif DLC

9. Add Some Inventive Star Cards

Before I continue, I have to confess that I absolutely, unequivocally, without doubt hate Star Cards. Like, just uttering the phrase sends a shiver down my spine tantamount to an unexpected jolt of force lightning. They're that naff.

They're naff, because, well, they imbalance gameplay. Players who hoard their XP and don't spend it on the various cosmetic changes and Hutt Contracts on offer can easily just buy an infinite amount of charges to power their main cards, meaning that a winnable confrontation is assured all at the press of one button.

It just isn't fun at all.

That said, the normal cards (stuff like the scout pistol, for instance) are more than fair game. They're neat little combat additions that comprise a part of a balanced loadout, and yeah, we need more of them.

DICE have actually been pulling out some fairly inventive cards in recent weeks and months, with the 'Escape Artist' card giving players the opportunity to bug out of a situation if it becomes un-winnable.

Likewise, the introduction of the medical droid is fantastic for reinforcing defences, or even to grant respite as you push forward. It's rendered completely obsolete by the spammable bacta bomb, but still, it's a move in the right direction for what is currently a fairly underwhelming system of card traits.

More of those, please.
