Street Fighter 5: 8 Improvements Capcom Must Make

5. Selectable V-Skills

Street Fighter V's unique gameplay element is the V-Meter, which controls three unique, character-exclusive options for everyone: the V-Skill, V-Reversal and the V-Trigger.

One problem is that some character's V-options are rather... underwhelming. F.A.N.G.'s V-Trigger, a poison touch, is outright worthless. R. Mika's V-Trigger, in comparison, throws a delay-able projectile from behind, above, or below the opponent, turning her into a mix-up monster or giving her a new combo extension.

Street Fighter 3, Alpha 3, and 4 have all given players selectable Super specials, but SFV has turned the Super special into an all around combo ender- so the best way to change up the roster would be to add new V-Skills and V-Triggers.

Giving the players a new selectable option to play with, especially one so intricate to the current game's play style, could improve player expression in character match-ups almost infinite-fold.
