Summer Games Fest 2022: 20 Huge Video Game Announcements You Need To Know
17. Goat Simulator 3 Is Real
Perhaps the single most hilarious trailer at this year's Summer Games Fest was the wildly unexpected Goat Simulator 3.
For one, there hadn't been any rumblings at all that a third entry into the janky meme game series was in development, and also because Goat Simulator 2 doesn't actually exist.
The outrageous reveal trailer brilliantly subverted expectations by opening with a glossy cinematic which duped viewers into believing they were actually watching a teaser for Dead Island 2, before revealing the presence of a goat causing all manner of mayhem.
Goat Simulator 3 will unfold within the new sandbox of San Angora, will include four-player co-op both online and locally, and will allow players to extensively customise their goats.
In a sea of AAA bombast, this might be just the tonic gamers need when it drops this autumn on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
