Super Mario: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best
19. New Super Mario Bros. U
The DS release of Super Mario 64 aside, the Wii U was Nintendo's first console since the N64 to launch with a full-fledged Mario title. Well, kinda. Super Mario World this wasn't.
Which isn't to say it wasn't good, but even a pole-vault assisted triple jump would leave it short of those ridiculously high benchmarks.
Co-operation is the name of the game here, and in the spirit of the Chuckle Brothers, it could easily have been called New Super Mario Bros. To Mii To U. Unlike the old Wii's edition, the U's new 'New' offers a much gentler ride, with helping now much easier than hindering, ensuring happy families around the TV. This particular hat of Mario's is well-worn by this point, but it's an inoffensive diversion sure to bring at least a few laughs.
