Super Mario Odyssey- 10 Ways It Beats Breath Of The Wild

5. Cooperative Play

Mario Zelda Odyssey Breath Of The Wild
Nintendo

This one's pretty simple- Breath of the Wild doesn't actually have any cooperative features whilst Super Mario Odyssey does.

Not only that but Odyssey's cooperative features are actually pretty fun! Using a second joy-con, players can have their friends join in as Cappy and help collect coins, attack enemies and even capture them for Mario to use.

It certainly won't blow anyone's mind but it's still pretty neat to see Nintendo continue the trend of having mainline Mario games have cooperative companions, such as how Luma was presented in Super Mario Galaxy.

Breath of the Wild, on the other hand, is a strictly single-player adventure that doesn't venture into cooperative play at all. Although this makes sense considering the type of game Breath of the Wild is, it's still a little disappointing to not have anything like it appear in the game. A quick idea would be letting second players take the role of Wolf Link with the use of an amiibo.
