Super Mario Odyssey- 10 Ways It Beats Breath Of The Wild

2. Photo Mode

The lack of any true photo mode for Breath of the Wild is pretty baffling considering how beautiful the game truly is. Meanwhile, Super Mario Odyssey's photo mode is one of its best distractions.

Taking photos in Super Mario Odyssey is fun, fluid and pretty in depth which is great when it's a completely optional feature. The beautiful worlds of Odyssey all lend well to being photographed, as does Mario's wide range of fantastically animated expressions and movements.

Unfortunately, the same can't really be said for Breath of the Wild's camera rune, which acts in a similar (although downgraded) manner to Odyssey's photo mode. Link can perform a limited number of poses and the rune can only be accessed on the ground as if using one of the other runes.

The camera rune is mainly used to take photos of items in the game, which is a shame considering how beautiful Breath of the Wild really is. Nintendo really missed the point with this one.
