The title might have been confusing for anyone who had started playing the Final Fantasy series in Japan (since the first three weren't released in North America infuriatingly), but Final Fantasy III/VI rightly deserves its consideration as one of the two greatest Final Fantasy games ever released.

For a significant number of even the most ardent series fans, this remains the best. And considering some of the more purely "fun" games released on the SNES, its commitment to intellectual writing and gameplay is stunning. This is absolutely not a game for kids, and the emotional and investing story is an absolute high-light of the series.

If you haven't played it, getting a Classic to welcome that experience into your life is an absolute must.
