4. Shops Will Be Housed Within Giant Mushrooms

Nothing says "intriguing" quite like a bunch of people walking into a giant red mushroom. But that's a focal point of the Super Nintendo World concept art. The only question is, what could it mean? Where does it lead? Could it be some sort of ride?

In all likelihood, no, it's probably not a ride. In fact, it you apply a bit of knowledge of the Mario series to the image, it becomes very clear just what function these mushrooms are going to have.

In the Mario series, mushrooms have long been used as bonus rooms and shops, allowing players to enter, purchase an item and continue on their adventure. Heck, they appear as so in Nintendo's new mobile app Super Mario Run.

The same will apply for Super Nintendo World. Theme parks thrive on gift shops, meaning there'll be plenty of mushroom stores dotted around the park filled with Nintendo trinkets and merchandise, allowing guests to spend hundreds and hundreds of coins on gaming goodies (at least, that's how you'll rationalise it - it's just coins, not half your life's savings).
