Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC: 10 Characters We Want To See

Crono is the silent protagonist from the legendary Super Nintendo RPG Chrono Trigger. A classical hero, Crono wields a trusty katana as his weapon of choice, putting him in good company among Smash’s numerous blade users like Ike, Roy, and Chrom. Crono could be a well-balanced character, kind of like Mario just with a big sword (one of the few things that would make Mario even better).

Like Nintendo does with almost all of its fighters, generating their move set based around the game from which they hail or their natural abilities (like Pikachu using actual Pokémon moves or Snake using the Nikita), it would be logical for Crono to use his magical tech abilities like cyclone, wind slash, and cleave to pummel his opponents.

After being locked away in Square Enix’s vault for so long, it’s time to give us Crono back, and that pun is completely intentional.
