Tekken: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Tekken 3

Tekken 3 Jin Kazama
Namco

The numero uno, the host with the most, the absolute best Tekken of them all, and the one that truly made the world take notice. Where Tekken 1 and 2 were fun enough explorations of what it could feel like to do a fighting game in 3D, Tekken 3 was - and still is - a masterclass from top to bottom.

There are animations and character traits crafted here that remain to this day, not to mention the general sensation of combat would go on to define the franchise. Outside of an immaculately balanced roster - and the introduction of fan-favourite Jin Kazama - were a number of beloved modes such as the Streets of Rage-esque Tekken Force, or the ludicrously fun volleyball minigame, Tekken Ball.

From stunning visuals to seeing Namco perfect the feeling of laying out your opponent with an expertly-timed haymaker, Tekken 3 is the absolute peak of the series - the pinnacle of Tekken's easy-of-access-meets-technical-mastery-appeal we all know and love.
