Just look at those graphics. For the most part they still hold up, but back in 2000 when Sony were showing off just what the PlayStation 2 could do, they were mind-melting.

Thankfully, Namco knew just how to shake up the foundations of Tekken and have fun at the same time: Introduce the tag-team mechanic, meaning not only could two of your favourite characters partner up, but chances are they'd have a unique tag move, too.

Hwoarang and Baek, Jin and Kazuya, Law and Paul - it was the first time you began viewing Tekken as this loveable collection of genuine personalities, all of which were just as fun to experiment mixing together as they were to play individually.

TTT's place in time is an important one, and it no doubt helped shift millions of PS2s, but when the production values were so high, nothing else came close.
