Tekken: Every Game Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Tekken 5
Following the controversial (read: Fans denouncing the franchise and everything it once stood for) reception of Tekken 4, all eyes were on Tekken 5. Would it be a return to old-school form, or would Namco attempt to continue their new, divisive direction?
Thankfully, it was the former. Tekken 5 is an outstanding package. Bringing together a roster of all our old favourites alongside newcomers like Raven, Dragunov, Feng and the long-awaited return of Armor King, gameplay felt like the true sequel to Tekken 3 we first wanted in 2002.
Basically, this was Namco saying, "Don't worry, we got you" - a sentiment topped off by hands-down the best bonus inclusion to any game ever: On-disc arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2 and 3, just because they can.
All was immediately forgiven.
