Telltale Games: 10 TV Shows They Should Adapt
9. Doctor Who
Background: For over 50 years, the BBC series has been a part of British pop culture, with its rich history still continuing to expand and earn new fans the world over.
Why It Should: Simply because of its popularity. Doctor Who has decades of storytelling and universe-building under its belt, opening the door for an innumerable amount of opportunities for Telltale to run with. A series could focus on new tales from any of the Doctor's iterations, even rotating each season to give fans new adventures from old faces.
If Telltale wanted to expand the scope and not focus only on one Doctor, they could split the episodes up into separate stories for different Doctors, with the actions of one having consequences down the line for a different one. Such a decision would also give each new episode its own distinct flavor, shaped by the personality of whichever Doctor is the focus, tonally and visually, along with bringing back old supporting faces without stepping on the toes of the ongoing series itself.
Alternate BBC Series Choice: No one would be surprised if they capitalized on Sherlock's popularity, but a Torchwood series could be quite a lot of fun.
