Telltale's Batman: 10 Comic Stories That Would Be Great Inspiration

5. Arkham Asylum

It's difficult to find a Batman book more twisted and psychological than Grant Morrison's Arkham Asylum - it's just that unsettling. Dave McKean's imagery is suitably fractious and compliments the abstract nature of the book quite perfectly, and that psychological edge to the story-arc would feel right at home if TellTale were aiming to analyse and pick apart The Bat as Morrison has done time and time again. Whilst it would probably be a tad disorienting to have McKean's art-style placed front and centre for the entirety of the season's durations, any Scarecrow-inspired or abstract set-piece present could be amplified by said jagged imagery. More important still is the title's focus on Batman's dubious morality and his similarities to the villains he incarcerates. The character persists in treading a fine line between hero and villain, so to see that element capitalised and placed front and centre to the experience would make the title genre-defining in its own right.
