The Division: 10 Ways You’re Playing It Wrong

4. You're Ignoring The ECHO

Part of the technology that Division agents are given lets them find recreations of events that have happened in various parts of the city. While many of these are basic story-advancers or filler material, there's more to them than you may first think.

As a longtime RPG player, I've developed the painstaking habit of leaving no stone unturned in a game that promises lots to find. For The Division this means scouting every open door or locked room and opening every box or bag, but it also means paying attention to the discoverable evidence left around the city.

And boy am I glad I did it; on numerous occasions I found that the commentary or information within the ECHO playbacks was pointing me in the direction of things worth finding. From unmarked enemy strongholds to caches of apparently stolen military weapons, these ECHO playbacks are quite often giving you tips on what the devastated streets of New York have to offer. Ignore or skip them at your own peril!
