The Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Morrowind Quests
1. Silent Pilgrimage
The Silent Pilgrimage is both a unique and strangely poignant quest to undertake.
Tasked by the Dunmer monk Endryn Liethan with proving your patience, wisdom, and devotion to the Tribunal cause, the player must take a vow of silence and travel to the Santcus Shrine in the Sheogorad region.
The vow made, the player cannot now speak to anybody; cannot barter with shop or inn-keepers, cannot interact with NPCs and - most importantly - cannot requisition any of the usual fast-travel options.
Having to rely solely on your own two feet (sole-ly...), making your way from Vivec to the shrine in Sheogorad is no easy task.
There are various options available to the player in order to complete this voiceless voyage, all of them way more convoluted than merely hopping into a Stilt Strider.
By utilising 'Mark' and 'Recall' in conjunction, the Levitation skill, or certain potions and scrolls to aid you in your journey to the sacred shrine, your reward for the completion of this quest is the acquisition of four books: "Silence", " The Four Suitors of Benitah", "36 Lessons of Vivec, and "Sermons 9 and 27", all of which increase a different skill statistic.
And you're allowed to speak again, obviously...
