Have you ever met a depressed Orc?

One of the most stand-out quests in Morrowind revolves around a hitherto unnamed Orc warrior who, once engaged in conversation, imparts to you a melancholy tale.

Having killed so many and so often, he is weary of the world and no longer wishes to live. The problem is that, as he is such a formidable opponent, there are none worthy of granting him the noble death in battle he seeks.

That's where we come in...

A fierce warrior indeed; the Orc is not an easy foe to best in combat.

Succeed though, and you can claim his possessions as your own, including his Orcish armour and enchanted sword: Umbra.

Utilising Soul Gems, the sword Umbra can trap the souls of its victims, making it a rare and valuable prize.

The Orc does not give up his name, even with his dying breath, as he insists it is of little consequence. Instead, he instructs the inquisitive player to simply call him after his sword.

"Umbra", then...

Sharing a name with your weapon? Okay...

More characters should try that; defeat the legendary warrior Dave the Brave, and take his enchanted weapon: the Dagger of Dave...
