The Elder Scrolls: 10 Best Storylines That Should Be Turned Into Movies

4. The Knights Of The Nine - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

In November 2006 Bethesda released the Knights of the Nine DLC for Oblivion. thirty New NPCs, eight new locations and eleven questlines were all introduced with this DLC, set around a group of holy warriors established to preserve the legacy of the legendary warrior Pelinal Whitestrake.

Back in the very first era, Pelinal fought for the human slaves of Cyrodiil against the evil sorcerer-king, Umaril, killing him in a battle that is still spoken about by the region's locals.

The game kicks off hundreds of years after this fight, with Umaril threatening to return to the world. This requires players to make a pilgrimage to shrines across the whole world in order to defeat the demi-god in both spiritual and physical forms. The expansion not only takes place across Cyrodiil, but features stunning sequences in the planes of Oblivion and in the skies above the Imperial City, making for some seriously awe-inspiring visuals.

From the legend of Pelinal, the pilgrimage undertaken by the player's character in the game, the establishment and growth of the Knights of the Nine order or the threat of Umaril's return, there's ample potential for this on the big screens.
