The Elder Scrolls 6: 8 Things Bethesda Must Change To Stay Relevant

3. Leave The Dragons Behind

A massive part of Skyrim's story and uniqueness, revolved around the inclusion of dragons in the series for the first time.

Dragons have been mentioned in the lore of previous titles, but knowing they would be in Skyrim ahead of the game's release (and the awesome reveal trailer that confirmed dragons) made Oblivion's sequel immediately interesting and gave it its own identity.

In the series lore, this is the first time dragons have been seen in the land of Tamriel for thousands of years, and with them appearing in the Skyrim region once more during the events of that game, that's where they should stay.

Yes, the dragons were cool, but they don't need to be in The Elder Scrolls 6.

Much like with Skyrim before it, the next title in the series should have it's own unique identity, bringing something new to the series and using that to inform how gameplay will work moment to moment for The Elder Scrolls 6.
