The Elder Scrolls VI: 10 Perfect Locations Fans Haven't Considered

1. Elsweyr

We€™ve been able to visit and experience large swathes of Tamriel over the years €“ there aren€™t many places left to explore that haven€™t been available in previous games. One of the only provinces left virtually uncharted is Elsweyr, the home of the Khajiit €“ so it would seem like a pretty obvious choice for the next instalment in the series.

Elsweyr is interesting partly because of its geography €“ the northern half is an arid region full of prairies and badlands, while the south is full of lush jungle and swamp; and both of these would promote very different types of dungeons and settlements to the ones seen in the snowy, mountainous Skyrim or the more temperate Cyrodiil and Morrowind. Draugr, for example, would have a hard time because flesh would simply rot away in the heat €“ so maybe there€™d be a fair few new enemy types creeping around.

The Khajiit have also tended to play a relatively minor role in previous titles €“ there aren€™t many of them around, and none of them play particularly huge roles in the main plotlines. Setting the next game in Elsweyr would be an opportunity to give the spotlight to the often overlooked races of Tamriel, rather than passing the torch back to the various Elf and Human races.

Plus - and this is the most important point €“ Khajiit are awesome.

Where would you set the next Elder Scrolls, and what do you make of my selections? Sound off in the comments below!
