The Elder Scrolls VI Wishlist: 10 Essential Things Fans Demand

9. Worthwhile Class Powers

Considering how individual everyone's unique experiences within the world of Skyrim or Elder Scrolls always are, the implementation of class-specific perks and abilities has rarely contributed to that at all. In Skyrim, you tended to pick your class based initially off their aesthetic (a slithery Argonian or catlike-warrior Khajiit), before noting powers like calming nearby enemies, making others flee, resisting damage etc. would be open to you "once per day" It's a bizarre stipulation considering the amount of things you'll be doing, and essentially means you simply forget the option is there at all. After a few hours of questing and establishing your own gameplay style of spellcasting, sword-play, stealth etc., unless you're really making a point to then factor in such a limited time-dependant perk, it just fell by the wayside. For TES VI either remove the 'once per day' tag on every power, or let us rank them up accordingly. By the close of Skyrim for example, you might have gotten your Dovahkiin to a stage where he can blast a Troll off a mountainside with the sound of their voice - but you were still limited to making others flee for just 30 seconds until the following day. It's one of the only elements of Skyrim that felt considerably undercooked.
