The Game Awards 2018: 15 Things We Learned

10. Hello Games' New Game Is The Last Campfire

One of the show's biggest surprises was an out-of-nowhere reveal from No Man's Sky developers Hello Games, who in addition to "fixing" their controversial survival game over the last 2+ years, have been working on a gorgeous new adventure game, The Last Campfire.

Stylistically and mechanically, it couldn't look much different to No Man's Sky, which is probably a good thing. Details are being kept vague for now, but studio head Sean Murray said it follows, "a lost ember trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meaning and a way home."

Whenever it releases and for whatever platforms, it looks absolutely stunning, though given that it's been billed a "Hello Games Short", you probably shouldn't expect it to last too long. Hopefully it'll get a price to match.
