6. CM - Edgar Davids (Pro Evolution Soccer 1-5)
Edgar Davids can rightfully be considered as one of the all-time great midfielders. He played for Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter and Tottenham, winning almost everything there is to win. The Dutch international possessed an incredible range of attributes, from endless stamina and a fearsome shot, to pinpoint passing and supreme tackling. There wasn't much that Davids couldn't do.
His digital incarnation proved to be equally adept at controlling the midfield. In PES 1-5, Davids proved indispensable for any Master League team. Often the foundation of one's midfield, he could single handedly destroy opposition attacks with his ability to tackle and cover every inch of his own half.
The Pitbull also had great passing range, which meant that he could often set up lightning quick counter attacks after winning the ball in midfield. If that wasn't enough, he was blessed with a strong shot as well. Davids would regularly pitch in with vital goals, often struck from range to add to your team's attacking potency.
Alongside the all round genius of Matteo Brighi, it would be hard to find a better central midfield pairing in the digital world.
