8. Abby Almost Kills Dina
Easily one of the darkest scenes in the game, after learning her friends Owen and Mel have been killed, Abby tracks Ellie to an abandoned theatre and chases her to the area below, where they have a brutal fight.
At the climax, Abby disarms Ellie knocks her down and has a knife to the throat of a bloodied and beaten Dina.
To the player's horror, even after Ellie says that Dina is pregnant, Abby does not seem to care and is about to cut her throat until Lev intervenes and convinces her to stop. Abby then lets both Ellie and Dina live on the condition she never sees them again.
It’s incredibly intense, and hotly contested by the fans.
On the one hand, players can understand why Abby is so determined to get revenge for her friends and why she would be mad at Ellie coming after her. But on the other hand, players do not want to see Ellie go through anymore heartache and lose the woman she loves.
It’s a moment that successfully pulls on your heartstrings and will leave players crying out for Dina to be spared.
