14. Four Swords / Four Sword Adventures
Yes, these are technically two different games, I get that. However, I feel they have enough in common to warrant my combining them into a single entry for this list. And frankly, I dont have enough to say about these games to justify giving them individual spots on this countdown, so theres that. Because Im a Zelda fanboy who is too blinded by my allegiance to the company to be truly critical of the series, Im of the opinion that there are no bad Zelda games, merely ones that arent all that good. These games definitely fall in that category. I remember having a lot of fun with these games with friends back in the day, and the fact that they brought multiplayer to the world of Hyrule was a novel innovation, but even as a youngster I knew they didnt live up to the lofty standards of this franchise. They may have had some nifty puzzles thanks to the addition of multiplayer, but that Zelda magic just wasnt there. Were they good games? Sure, but that only carries you so far when dealing with a series of this caliber.
