9. Upgrade The Dodge First

You’re guaranteed to be doing a lot of fighting in The Outer Worlds, and there’s one surefire way to make it a lot easier.

By double-tapping the jump button and pointing in a direction, your character will perform a quick leap out of harm's way. Initially you’ll only be able to do it backwards and sideways, but by improving the skill you can also do it forwards.

Improving the ability will also reduce the cooldown time of being able to dodge in succession. Although that cooldown is already pretty short at the start of the game, it becomes near instant after only a little bit of levelling.

Not only is this a fantastic addition to combat that makes both melee attacks and quick ranged fire more effective options, but it also makes getting around the world a hell of a lot easier. Your sprint may be unlimited, but dodging around the area is the easiest way of getting around.
