The Outer Worlds: 10 Tips & Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You
8. Take A Flaw
We all know how skills and perks work, but what exactly are flaws?
Flaws are a unique addition to The Outer Worlds that are designed to make the role-playing aspect of the game much more in-depth. Essentially, when the game sees you struggling against certain aspects like specific enemy or damage types, it will offer you a unique flaw.
For example, if you tend to struggle against plasma-type damage, you can accept a flaw that means you permanently receive more damage from plasma attacks.
What’s the benefit of doing this? Well, besides making your character more unique, you are also rewarded a perk point that you can spend however you like.
The Outer Worlds is unique in the fact that almost all of its perks are actually really useful, so the payoff here is actually worth it, especially on lower difficulties.
