If you played the original Fallout games or Obsidian's Fallout New Vegas, you know that they're not a studio who shies away from an opportunity to inject a laugh every once in a while and relish in the often bizarre
Thankfully, this sense of humour is present in spades, whether it's pun-filled shop titles ("Auntie Biotics"), fake movie posters advertising the latest adaptation of Shakespeare's "Titus Androidicus", the lengthy disclaimer found at the end of the original announcement trailer from one of the villainous in-game brand conglomerates, or your player character getting to play a a heroic space captain who can choose to 'remain stoically silent' rather than engaging in banter with the actor playing the villain.
These are just a couple of many things you can pick up on from watching the multiple gameplay demos and extra footage that we've been teased with. It's safe to say that The Outer Worlds seems every bit as entertaining as it is epic, and will no doubt be as bizarre as it is groundbreaking once the game drops later this year.
