The core principle of most Sims titles is to unlock the best items in the game by achieving certain goals during gameplay – simple.
From there, getting a job and interacting with other Sims would unlock progressively more impressive and more useful items/expressions to use in your world - it's a nice effort and reward system that gives you plenty to do for hours on end.
However, it all seems like a lot of work and after about five minutes of constantly repairing the basic kettle, you headed for the first cheat site on Google and input the lot. Does Rosebud ring a bell? Maybe the very generous Blue Gnome?
Cheating is integral to The Sims series but it's still ridiculous - shame on you.
