The Single Most Annoying Part Of Every Main Series Zelda Game

9. No Save Points - Adventure Of Link

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is considered the black sheep of the series. Instead of having a top-down perspective like the previous game, The Adventure of Link is a side-scroller. The game also works more like a RPG since it has random battles and experience points.

However, these elements aren't bad. Unlike most RPGs, the game doesn't focus on grinding for experience points to progress.

Also, the game is filled with NPCs that help you on your quest, which was absent from the previous game. People didn't like Zelda II at the time simply because it was different.

What makes Zelda II so irritating is how you are sent back to the start if you die. Why isn't there a save option? There was in the previous game! Why take it out?!

Now, when you restart, any shortcuts you opened will still be there. (It works a little similar to Super Mario Bros. 3.)

But when you lose all your lives in SMB3, you just go back to the beginning of the level, not the entire game! This game is quite long and rock-hard throughout, so expecting the player to complete the whole thing without saving is asking too much.
