The Single Most Annoying Part Of Every Main Series Zelda Game

7. The Water Temple - Ocarina Of Time

It's pretty crazy that Ocarina of Time is regularly rated as the greatest video game of all time considering it has the most infamous level; The Water Temple.

The first irritating thing the player will notice about this dungeon is how you need to constantly pause to take them off the Iron Boots to float upward or put them on so you can drop to the ground.

Wearing the boots is infuriating since they cause Link to move slower than an arthritic snail carrying heavy shopping. You already move slowly in water so expecting the player to run, roll, and fight enemies with the boots weighing you down is anything but fun.

But it get's worse. Since you have to constantly adjust the water levels and backtrack in a dungeon where most of the areas look similar, you are guaranteed to get lost.

Although the sub-boss, Dark Link, is one of the game's highlights, the dungeon's guardian, Morpha, is drawn out, sluggish, and uninspiring, making him the worst boss in the game.

Although The Water Temple's reputation as "the worst level ever" has been embellished, it is still the weakest part of an otherwise perfect game.
