The Walking Dead Game: 10 Reasons It's Better Than The TV Show

2. Clementine

the walking dead the game 4 Like I already mentioned, Clementine was the driving force behind everything you did in the game, and this game really would not have been the same without her. I had my own hang-ups when hearing about the game before I got it. I did not want a kid side-kick because...well I don't care for kids all that much. In previous experience they either get you into trouble, or get your fellow survivors into trouble, and often killed. As the TV show once showed, and most all movies show, kids do not bode well in an apocalyptic situation. Although there is sometimes the rare exception. Clementine is that rare exception. More often than not, she benefits the group rather than holding them back. Throughout the journey she is successfully taught to use a gun, and even saves some group members with her new found talent. She is always trying to do the right thing and is always the person to go to when making those good moral choices. She doesn't try to rebel against her new guardians because she thinks she knows better, she listens to Lee, (for the most part.) Clementine was an excellent character, surprisingly a lot of gamers favorite character of the year. Hopefully the next season of the game will continue her journey. The show has its amazing characters as well, just not ones I sympathized with as much as I did with Clementine. Introduce a new tragic-yet-likable character on the show, or maybe delve deeper into what is the driving force from the pre-apocalyptic life of the existing great characters. Give the characters that emotional connection that TellTale managed to do in just 5 installments.
