The Witcher 3: 10 Rare Weapons You Totally Missed
1. Aerondight
And now we come to it. The rarest sword in all of the Witcher 3.
Good thing it's also the best too.
Knocking both the Harpy silver sword and the Viper Venomous sword off the top spot, Aerondight has been featured in every Witcher game CDPR has produced, and boasts massive damage that scales with use. This means its attack power is theoretically limitless, and you can't really get better than that.
In practise, once you have Aerondight, there's really no need to use any other weapon, considering it will outperform every sword even in NG plus and beyond.
Just a shame that getting it is a total ballache, then. Missable, too.
The only way to be granted Aerondight is to demonstrate five chivalric values across five quests in the Blood and Wine expansion. This means picking the right choice five times, without knowing the right option.
Failing even one of the five quests, or picking the wrong choice during the quest, will lock off Aerondight forever.
Well, at least until the next NG cycle, anyway.
Yet despite having to jump through so many hoops it'd make a dolphin blush, Aerondight is a God tier weapon, and is absolutely worth the effort.
Go on, it might even make Death March playable.
