The Witcher 3: 10 Things You Didn't Know
8. Larger Map Than Skyrim
You read that right. The map of The Witcher 3 is incredible; every little corner of the world is filled to the brim with things to find and explore. It’s what makes the game so huge, contributing to those 36 possible endings.
To be specific, The Witcher 3’s map is around 35 times the size of The Witcher 2’s map, and 20 per cent larger than the map in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Skyrim is well-known for being one of the largest open-world fantasy games, but in comparison, it bows down to the sheer vastness of The Witcher 3.
It has been calculated that it takes around 40 minutes to travel around the entirety of The Witcher 3’s map on Roach’s back. Admittedly this might take slightly longer in real life, to travel around an entire country, but 40 minutes is a long time for a video game.
