The Witcher Characters: Books Vs. Games Vs. Netflix Show
7. Triss
Another case of a character being in court versus on the road: this is the reason for the differences in clothing between the game and show. The dresses that Triss wears in the Netflix series are actually rather similar to those she wears to more formal occasions in CDPR's adaptation though.
The books' description of Triss' clothing is rather vague, the main detail focused on being her "long, full locks the colour of fresh chestnuts, with a sheen of gold, her pride and identifying characteristic". Which, as her "identifying characteristic", is fair enough.
From this description, CDPR evidently took the message 'red hair' whereas Netflix took the message 'brown hair' - at least CDPR efforts create a distinctive look, I guess?
