Tomb Raider: Ranking Every Game From Worst To Best
8. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
The most recent entry in the series, and the one where we can actually see Lara “become the Tomb Raider”, if you believe the game’s marketing.
While its story left much to be desired - and seemed to recycle many plot points - it’s still one of the most graphically stunning games of all time. The focus on diverse platforming shows there’s still a place in the market for the franchise even all these decades later.
Not to mention, the jungles here are super detailed and vibrant, with tombs and villages being atmospheric and memorable. Intense action sequences, grand set pieces, as well as a few genuinely emotional moments, it certainly set itself apart from its contemporaries, and even previous entries in the series.
With customizable difficulty for traversal, combat and puzzles, there’s a little something for everyone here.
Plus, the late DLC addition of the Tactical Adventurer Classic outfit for Lara, which puts her default into the more iconic colours of her PS1 days, showing that sometimes the classics never go out of style.
