Top 15 Robots In Video Games
7. R.O.B.
This little guy was an accessory to the NES, with the idea that consumers would want to by a robo-gaming machine, rather than just a games console. This plan actually worked to an extent, even though R.O.B. (which apparently stood for Robotic Operating Buddy) himself was a terrible piece of kit that added nothing to the gaming experience. Unlike the rest of this list, R.O.B. (good name by the way) actually exists in real life, outside of a game, but he isnt much of a character. Hes made it onto this list because hes become a cult hero, as he was so rubbish, which somehow brought him popularity. Most gamers will know him for his fighting prowess in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or his racing in Mario Kart DS as well as appearances in other series such as; Viewtiful Joe, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Pikmin 2, F-Zero, WarioWare and StarFox. 6. Josef The lead character in the stand out indie title Machinarium, is a little guy with a big task. After being dumped into landfill, our little friend Josef reassembles himself, heading for the city in which the game takes place. Josef must save his friends and the city, while foiling the plans of the evil Black Cap Brotherhood. This story of this point-and-click adventure is told without any dialog or text, creating an entirely visual experience. The adorable art style and tricky puzzles make your time with Josef a joy.
