Uncharted 4: 10 Suggestions To Avoid A Total Misfire

9. Don't Repeat The Past

One criticism of the Uncharted games is that all three games in the main trilogy tend to follow a rather predictable structure of events. There€™s always an early betrayal There€™s always a supernatural element (more on that later) There€™s always a jaw dropping middle set piece that involves Drake and some sort of moving transport (jeep, train and finally plane) There€™s always an underwhelming boss fight One of Drake€™s friends is almost always thought to be dead due to some clever editing Finally an underwhelming ending It€™s becoming a rather tired formula that is making the games very predictable and full of clichés. Naughty Dog really does need to mix things up in order to get players more involved in the story. As much as we love the supporting cast of Uncharted, we feel like at least one of the gang needs to die at some point. Sully is a fantastic character but if he had died at the end of Uncharted 3 it would have been a much more dramatic, bittersweet and overall memorable ending (now that we mention it, what even happened at the end of Uncharted 3?). Simply put; Naughty Dog need to surprise gamers again and create a narrative full of twists and turns.
