Uncharted 4: 10 Things That Need To Happen

2. Sam Doesn't Betray Nate

Uncharted 4 (in its current form) is reportedly a lot different than the game we were originally supposed to get. Back in November 2013, the first trailer for game was revealed, featuring an ominous voiceover from an unknown character who spoke of how Drake betrayed him. Flash-forward several years, and several key creative forces have departed developer Naughty Dog, including Uncharted writer Amy Hennig and director Justin Richmond. Because of this, it's unclear if that initial trailer will translate to the full game in any way whatsoever, but for the sake of a non-predictable plot, it definitely shouldn't. After that first teaser, most savvy players are expecting the man who was betrayed, and left for dead, to be Sam Drake, Nathan's brother. From what we know of Sam, this seems entirely plausible -- a long-lost sibling, presumed dead, suddenly pops back into existence for... what? To exact revenge? Are the two even related? It all looks quite shady, but in this case, shady is predictable. Because everyone is expecting it, Naughty Dog should avoid it. How many times have storytellers used the "person who is apparently friendly but suddenly stabs you in the back" cliche? Hopefully, Naughty Dog don't fall into the same trappings.
