Until Dawn 2: 10 Improvements For The Perfect Sequel

3. More Death Scenarios

At the end of the day, character deaths are the entire point of Until Dawn, and that should definitely not change in the sequel. The biggest motivation (in theory) is trying to save every character, and failing should "punish" the player by showing some of the most awesome and graphic death scenes in video games.

Best way to improve upon this for Until Dawn 2? Include more death scenes!

One issue in Until Dawn is the fact that two characters are absolutely un-killable until the absolute very ending of the game. Obviously, this is due to the fact that these were the two main characters, but it felt cheap considering how often the two were in danger.

Deaths were also few and far between for way too long. Barring the prologue, no character can die until Chapter 4, and after that a death in Chapter 6 can occur if the player is monumentally terrible at decision making.

The last three episodes were crammed with death scenarios, which, honestly, should be how much of the game is. This goes along with increasing the overall difficulty of the game. Adding the number of ways that characters can die seriously ups the stakes.
