Watch Dogs: 10 Reasons The Haters Are Wrong

9. Gunplay Is Brilliant

Try and think of one game since the proliferation of Call of Duty that doesn't do its combat as 'Hold left trigger, shoot with right trigger', just try and think of one. What's that? Deadly Premonition?! Surely you cheated! Anyway, the point is that in today's gaming climate the very tactful feel of aiming your weapon and firing has become utterly homogenised across any title that would begin to be described with the word 'action', meaning that the hefty amount of missions that involve - or are reduced to - shooting your way through/out of somewhere, are handled perfectly. Since you can't take many hits without having your balaclava blown off, it's paramount to pick and choose headshots carefully, and thanks to a perk that levels up how fast you can switch between weapons, you'll be jumping across to some proximity-based explosives to rig a roadway, before equipping a grenade launcher to take on a group that's already arrived, only to switch back to an automatic weapon to finish off any stragglers. It's sublime, and although there is a good number of weapons available - from sniper rifles to pistols, shotguns and more - it would all fall apart if it weren't for a stellar cover system...
