Watch Dogs 2 Review: 7 Ups & 6 Downs

6. Driving Is Still Pretty Terrible
One of the most vocal complaints about the original Watch Dogs was that driving was, well, garbage. The handling and controls felt totally at odds with the more refined scheme of the combat and on-foot movement, evoking an arcadey feel that didn't suit the style of the game at all.
Watch Dogs 2, to its mild credit, does definitely improve the driving by making it feel a little weightier, but it's still fairly clumsy when compared to the likes of Grand Theft Auto V.
Steering feels sluggish and unresponsive, which will likely result in the player crashing far more often than they really should. Thankfully driving isn't a massive part of the game mission-wise (and you can fast travel to almost every mission if you really hate it that much), but given how hard fans were on it the first time, it's a shame the improvements aren't more decisive.
