Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
I remember standing in line waiting for this game to be released at midnight. It was the first time I felt out of place as a gamer. I had done midnight releases before, but those people looked like me. The glasses on their face, the braces on their teeth; you could tell these guys had been put in a locker or two growing up. Standing in line for Modern Warfare 2, I was standing in line with the guys who put guys like me in lockers. It was the sad moment that I realized the jocks of the world had discovered the beautiful thing known as gaming. Personal horror stories aside, Modern Warfare 2 received critical acclaim, unheard of sales, and a great gaming experience (for the most part). By the time Modern Warfare 2 came out, the multiplayer had been polluted past the point of saving by campers, n00b t00bers (thanks MW2 for giving us stupid names like this), and a plethora of other annoying tactics. This was also a game that all the little boys and girls made their parents go out and buy them. Nothing like in getting knifed in the back while being called a racial slur BY SOMEONE IN THE FOURTH GRADE. What It Says About You You are a bro. Plain and simple. Sorry, but that is just how it goes. If you tell me Modern Warfare 2 is your favorite game in the series, Im going to assume you are telling me while pounding back some cases of Natural Ice and objectifying women. You are the person who skipped class the week Modern Warfare 2 came out just so that you wouldnt have to worry about being called a n00b and losing your bro street cred. You also give an unnatural number of high-fives every time you get a kill.
