Why Apple Arcade Will Win The War Against Google Stadia

2. Why Apple Arcade Is More Promising

It is obvious that Apple have spent more time designing out potential flaws that Google have not acknowledged. The service, much like every other Apple subscription, is expected to be £9.99 per month including the games, whereas Stadia requires you to purchase every game before you can play it.

The requirements for Google Stadia also portray Arcade as a clear favourite, with 720p gameplay requiring at least 10 Mbps. Furthermore, at release, Stadia will be able to stream to Chromecast enabled TVs, Pixel 3 and 3a and laptops, whereas Apple Arcade will support all devices that can run macOS Catalina, iOS 13, iPadOS 13 and tvOS 13, and substantially broader range of products.

Apple Arcade also doesn’t rely on a strong internet connection to work. Granted you need to download the games on all the devices you want to use them on, but that is nothing in comparison to the recommended 35Mbps internet speed required to fully take advantage of Stadia.

So why might Stadia struggle?
