3. Character Models
Improved character models are something that Id have expected in a sequel regardless, but the degree to which theyve been improved seems to me to be greater than in any of their previous titles jumps. I was only able to closely scrutinize a handful of the superstars on offer in the final roster but those I did see looked about as close to their real life counterparts than Ive ever seen them get. Its in the details; the imperfections. Mankinds arms for example, are pockmarked from tack scars, they're scarred and blotchy with a faint marblesque pattern from where he sustained burns earlier in his career. Its the little subtleties like this that made me note just how much effort Yukes have put in to recreating a realistic WWE experience. Out of everyone, I played with Foley, Austin, The Undertaker and I just couldnt resist Mike Tyson, who yes is fully playable and has a range of classic manoeuvres as well as some special emphasis on his ability as a boxer. Everyone is a near perfect likeness and thanks to that, for a brief moment anyway, I could pretend I was a kid again.
