WWE 2K15: 10 Steps To Building The Hype

1. A '2K15 Raw' Similar To Old School Raw

Befunky 20130409 Light Raw Crowd Candl The annual 'Old School Raw' is usually one of the coolest nights of the WWE calendar, reverting to old school production techniques and imagery. This could easily be done with 2K15, presenting the Raw broadcast as the game production and in-game menus appear. It's a more viable idea than the game taking over the Network, adds a nice change to the same old Raw, and is three hours of advertising for the game. Given that previous WWE games have been so nostalgia driven with their story mode, it makes sense that WWE would book all the same old talent they do for Old School Raw, casting them on 2K15 Raw in matches and segments to shill the game. Specific 2K15 graphics could be edited over the broadcast at certain points, for example the live feed of an entrance could interchange into the game version of the entrance. This would achieve the sell of showing the audience that the modern game is more life like than ever. All these ideas are ways for 2K and WWE to work together to make more money for the franchise. Giving the game exposure and demonstrating it is the absolute best way to navigate the tricky task of getting fans to part with their money again. An increased presence on WWE TV is a must this year for 2K15 and we can't wait to see what cool new innovations the brand will bring.
